The apparatus further includes a decision device configured to decide whether said detected protocol type is a predetermined type, and a setting device configured to set, based on the mapping information and the decision result, a delivery order attribute as a parameter for transmission of data packets in a packet data network if the predetermined protocol type is not present.

摘要： A method and network elements for transmission of data packets in a data packet network, wherein at least a delivery order attribute (DOA) is detected as a parameter for transmission of data packets, and whether the DOA parameter is set is determined. If the DOA parameter is set, a traffic class of transmitted data packets is determined and the transmitted data packets are processed dependent on the determined traffic class. In addition, a method is used to set the DOA as a parameter for transmission of data packets in a packet data network.

The GGSN receives data packets from the external communication system in a first plurality of data flows which it maps to a second plurality of data flows in the mobile communications system. It establishes at least one filter for controlling the mapping and associates the filter with the mobile station. It also maps at least one of the data flows on the basis of the filter and configures the filter on the basis of information which preferably originates from the mobile station.

摘要： A method and a communication system which includes a first network element, e.g. portable terminal, connectable to a second network element. One of selectable modes is used for communication. A network element is adapted to perform a mode selection procedure for selecting the same mode for bidirectional communication between the network elements. The mode selection ensures the use of one and the same mode in uplink and downlink direction and thus enables e.g. IP telephony in UMTS using SIP protocol. The invention provides for facilitating a VoIP communication session by way of a radio link with a mobile station. The mobile station forms a QoS (Quality of Service) information element for communication to a radio access network portion. The QoS information element is indicating whether to remove packet header information of the data packets to be communicated upon the radio link pursuant to the communication session.

The quality of service function of the data bearer is controlled by a control node (1,16) that has been selected based on said information added in the message.
