    摘要: A vehicle door latch device which prevents a theft component from getting into an operation-mechanism holding portion thereby improving an anti-theft performance of the vehicle door latch device, by a smaller and lighter arrangement. On a synthetic-resin body, a protection wall is provided that prevents a theft component, inserted in the door, from getting into the casing by covering a connecting part of an outside lever and an operation mechanism, held in the casing, from a vehicle-outside direction.

    摘要: An over-center spring of a vehicle door latch device has a coil part that is loosely inserted on a spring support shaft, and a base end side spring leg part. A leading end side spring leg part elastically holds an abutting pin and is paired with the base end side spring leg part. A lock lever is provided with a slot through which the spring support shaft passes. The lock lever and the spring support shaft are disposed to be superposed on each other in an axial direction of the spring support shaft.

    摘要: A motor-vehicle door latch device having a latch releasing member and a stopper which are rotatably supported on a base member by each shaft. The stopper holds the latch releasing member so as not to rotate in a releasing direction by rotating from a regular position to a lock position, due to an action of an inertial force caused by an impact force which is received from a first direction corresponding to a direction in which a striker enters an entrance groove. The latch releasing member has a center of gravity which deviates from its rotation center so that another inertial force, caused by another impact force which is received from a second direction opposite the first direction, acts in an opposite direction to the releasing direction.
