摘要: The present invention provides a retainer for a pipe connecting device, capable of being disengaged from a pipe without using any special disconnecting tool when disconnecting the pipe from the connector housing, and of remaining on a connector housing without being separated together with the pipe from the connector housing when the pipe is disconnected from the connector. A retainer (17) of an elastic material is interposed between a pipe (14) and a connector housing (15) in a known manner. When the pipe connecting device is in a connecting state, first catching edges (26a) of a pair of flexible catching parts (26) formed in a middle part of the retainer (17) are in engagement with a stopping protrusion (18) formed on the pipe (14), second catching parts (26b) lie in openings (20) formed in the connector housing (15) and are in engagement with support bars (19). Parts near the pair of second catching edges (26b) are connected integrally by fixed walls (28) serving as a spacing means. When operating knobs (25) formed opposite to each other on one end of the retainer (17) are pressed toward each other by fingers, parts near the pair of second catching edges (26b) serve as fixed fulcra, the first catching edges (26a) on one side of the flexible catching parts (26) opposite the side of the operating knobs (25) are displaced outward and are disengaged from the stopping protrusion (18) of the pipe (14). Then, the pipe (14) can be disconnected from the connector housing (15), and the retainer (17) remains on the connector housing (15).

摘要: A pipe joining construction which maintains airtightness for a long period of time, easily ensures the required dimensional accuracy, and surface finish accuracy, and can decrease cost. The pipe joining construction is characterized by a seal member S mounted at the outer periphery of a male end form (2) on a connector (1) or a pipe M and a collar (5) covering the outer periphery of the tip end of the male end form (2). The collar (5) has a tapered portion with a tapered outer periphery. The collar (5) is used as a holding member for the seal member S. Alternately, a ring member (11) is mounted between the seal members and a bead (26) on the male end form (2).

A bushing is fit onto the leading end of a shaft part of the hermetic plug to be moveable in the axial direction, the ring seal member is fit to be moveable between a base part and the bushing, a small diameter region is formed on the end of the shaft part on the bushing side in the ring seal member moveable region, a large diameter region is formed on the end of the shaft part on the base part side, and when the shaft part of a hermetic plug is inserted into the injector cap from the opening end, the bushing contacts the reduced diameter region of the injector cap, the bushing moves toward the base part of the shaft part, and the ring seal member is moved by the bushing from the small diameter region to the large diameter region, such that the ring seal member deforms and expands toward the inner peripheral face of the injector cap and the ring seal member forms a press fit to the inner peripheral face of the injector cap to create a hermetic seal.

摘要: A fuel injection rail includes a rail body including an upper case 30 made of a metal and an injector holding member 32 made of a resin, provided in its outer surface with recesses 35 in which holding parts 37 of the upper case 30 engage and a sealing groove 38 spaced from the recesses 35; and sealing means 39 placed in the sealing groove 38 to seal the joint between the upper case 30 and the injector holding member 32. The fuel injection rail can be readily assembled. The joint between the upper case 30 and the injector holding member 32 is sealed with high reliability.

To attain these objects, provided is a construction for preventing incomplete connection of pipes which connects the male member having a flange-like projection at its external periphery to the female member having a retainer disposed at its internal periphery for locking the flange-like projection on the male member by inserting the male member a specified distance into the female member, the construction comprising a cylindrical member mounted on the male member for covering the external periphery at the opening side of female member and locking means disposed on the cylindrical member and the female member to lock the members, whereby the cylindrical member is locked to the female member by the locking means so that the cylindrical member covers the external periphery on the opening side of the female member when the male member is inserted the specified distance into the female member.
