Such methods include producing a corn plant exhibiting resistance to HS, comprising introgressing genomic regions conferring disease resistance; or selecting a corn plant exhibiting resistance to HS. Compositions, including polymorphic markers for detecting plants comprising introgressed disease resistance alleles, are further provided.
