摘要： A television-integrated video cassette recorder apparatus comprising a high definition television for receiving a high definition television signal from a broadcasting station, a digital video cassette recorder for recording and playing back the high definition television signal or a standard television signal on/from a magnetic tape, and an interface circuit for converting a format of the high definition television signal into a recording format of the digital video cassette recorder in a recording mode, converting a format of a playback signal from the digital video cassette recorder into a high definition television format or a standard television format in a playback mode and performing a plurality of screen processing functions in a standard television manner. According to the present invention, a compatibility is provided between a standard TV system and a HDTV system.

摘要： A video data recording apparatus for a digital VCR comprising a frame controller for detecting a vertical synchronous signal from input video data and outputting a frame detect signal and a first switching signal in response to the detected vertical synchronous signal, a switching counter for generating a second switching signal in response to the frame detect signal from the frame controller to control a switching operation of a track distributed switch, a buffer for dividing the input video data distributed by the track distribution switch in the unit of segment and storing the video data of the divided segments, a segment shifting counter for generating a third switching signal in response to the first switching signal from the frame controller, a shifting switching circuit for selectively transferring the video data from the buffer in response to the third switching signal from the segment shifting counter, a signal select switching circuit for selectively transferring the video data from the shifting switching circuit in response to the first switching signal from the frame controller, and a recording circuit for adding a synchronous signal and an identification signal to output video data from the signal select switching circuit and recording the resultant video data on the video tape.

摘要： A video compression/expansion apparatus for a digital VCR, having an analog/digital converter, a memory, a video compression/expansion device, a compressed data memory, a modem, an error corrector, a deformatter, a first buffer, a second buffer and a digital/analog converter sequentially connected and electrically coupled to one another. According to the invention, the apparatus comprises a first logic control circuit for controlling the video compression/expansion device and the compressed data memory to transform compressed video data of 32 bits from the video compression/expansion device into four 8-bit data and alternately ,store the transformed four 8-bit data into first and second memories of the compressed data memory, a formatter for reading the compressed video data from the first and second memories and formatting the read video data at a fixed rate, an error correcting code generator for detecting an error of the compressed video data formatted by the formatter and generating an additional code for correction of the detected error, and a second logic control circuit responsive to clock and vertical synchronous signals from the deformatter for storing and rearranging compressed video data from the deformatter and controlling transmission of the rearranged video data to the video compression/expansion device.
