Abstract: An electrochemical device includes: a positive electrode; a separator; and a negative electrode. The negative electrode includes a negative electrode current collector and a negative electrode active material layer. The negative electrode active material layer includes a negative electrode active material. The negative electrode active material layer includes a first negative electrode active material layer. When the electrochemical device is at a fully discharged state (0% SOC), the first negative electrode active material layer includes a first region and at least one second region. The first region is continuous as a whole, and at least a part of the second region is surrounded by the first region.
