摘要: Provided is a method comprises: continuously forming an elongated, glass film having marginal portions from molten glass into a given shape having two marginal portions, in width-directional opposite edge regions thereof, wherein the glass film having marginal portions has the marginal portions, and an effective portion formed in a width-directional central region of the glass film having marginal portions; annealing the glass film having marginal portions; continuously forming resin tapes on the glass film having marginal portions at positions adjacent to and away by a given distance from the respective marginal portions, to extend in a length direction of the glass film having marginal portions; and continuously removing each of the marginal portions from the glass film having marginal portions, along a position between the marginal portion and a corresponding one of the resin tapes, or at a given width-directional position within the corresponding resin tape.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a glass roll, includes: a forming step (S1) of forming, while conveying a glass film, the glass film by a downdraw method; a temporary rolling step (S3) of rolling the glass film while superposing a protective film on the glass film at a downstream end of a path of the conveying in the forming step (S1), to thereby manufacture a source glass roll; and a main rolling step (S4) of unrolling, while conveying the glass film to a downstream side, the glass film from the source glass roll, and then rerolling the glass film while superposing a protective film on the glass film at a downstream end of a path of the conveying, to thereby manufacture a glass roll. Higher tension in a rolling direction is applied to the glass film in the main rolling step (S4) than in the temporary rolling step (S3).

The film body (F) includes a detachable displacement prevention film (6) on a termination end portion side of the glass film (3) in a take-up direction. The displacement prevention film (6) includes a wide portion (6a) having a lager width than the glass film (3).

The cleaning apparatus also includes a first supply path formed in the each of the spindle cases to supply the cleaning liquid in the internal space of the housing to the internal space of the each of the spindle cases, and a second supply path formed in the spindle to supply the cleaning liquid in the internal space of the each of the spindle cases to the cleaning member.

摘要: In cutting a band-shaped glass film along a longitudinal direction thereof and evaluating linearity of an end side formed in association with the cutting to inspect quality of a cut band-shaped glass film, the following steps are performed: an imaging step of dividing the end side into a plurality of segments and imaging each of the plurality of segments; a linear approximation step of calculating an approximate straight line of the end side based on a plurality of points different from each other on the end side in each of a plurality of images obtained in the imaging step; a variation calculation step of calculating a variation value of the plurality of points based on the approximate straight line; and an evaluation step of evaluating the linearity of the end side based on a plurality of variation values respectively corresponding to the plurality of images.

摘要: Provided is a method of manufacturing a glass sheet including a step of bringing a glass sheet (G1, G2) having a first liquid adhering to a surface into contact with a roller (5a, 5b). The glass sheet (G1, G2) includes: a first glass sheet (G1); and a second glass sheet (G2) having a contact length with the roller (5a, 5b) which is larger than that of the first glass sheet (G1). The step of bringing the glass sheet (G1, G2) into contact with the roller (5a, 5b) includes a liquid supplying step of, at the time of bringing the first glass sheet (G1) into contact with the roller (5a, 5b), applying a second liquid to a non-contact portion of the roller (5a, 5b) which is prevented from being brought into contact with the first glass sheet (G1).

摘要: Provided is method of producing a glass roll, the method including: a conveying step of conveying a glass film (G) along a longitudinal direction thereof; a cutting step of irradiating the glass film (G) with a laser beam (L) from a laser irradiation apparatus (19) while conveying the glass film (G) by the conveying step, to thereby separate the glass film (G) into a non-product portion (Gc) and a product portion (Gd); and a take-up step of taking up the product portion (Gd) into a roll shape, to thereby form a glass roll (R). The cutting step includes winding a thread-like peeled material (Ge) generated from an end portion of the product portion (Gd) in a width direction around a rod-shaped collecting member (20a), to thereby collect the thread-like peeled material (Ge).
