Abstract: A method is provided where a set of beams is transmitted from an access point in a first sweeping order in a first cell. The beams transmit a reference signal. A first subset of the beams is configured to be transmitted in a neighbor zone direction of the first cell, within a first common block of time as a second subset of beams being transmitted in a second cell in a neighbor zone direction. Each beam of the first and second subsets of beams are transmitted at different times in the first common block of time.
