Abstract: A load switch includes a switch element and first and second control circuits. The switch element has an input terminal for receiving an input voltage, an output terminal for providing an output voltage, and a control terminal for receiving a switch signal, which turns the switch element on and off. The first control circuit is connected to the control terminal of the switch element and turns off the switch element in response to a first control signal. The second control circuit also is connected to the control terminal of the switch element and keeps the switch element turned off, after the first control circuit has turned off the switch element.

Abstract: A low drop-out voltage regulator (LDO) includes an LDO unit, a switch circuit, a charge pump, and an initiation circuit. The switch circuit is coupled to a voltage input terminal and outputs a selected input voltage. The LDO unit receives the selected input voltage from the switch circuit and generates a regulated output voltage. The charge pump is coupled to the LDO unit to receive the regulated output voltage, and generate a control signal that is provided to the switch circuit. The initiation circuit receives the input voltage and generates an initiation voltage that greater than the regulated output voltage. The initiation voltage is provided to the charge pump circuit, along with the regulated output voltage. The initiation voltage drives the charge pump circuit when the regulated output voltage is not large enough to drive the charge pump circuit.

Abstract: A reverse current protection circuit for a switch circuit includes a reverse current control circuit and an enable/disable circuit coupled to the reverse current control circuit. The reverse current control circuit is coupled to an input terminal and an output terminal of the switch circuit, and disconnects the output terminal of the switch circuit from the input terminal of the switch circuit when an output voltage of the switch circuit is higher than a first predetermined voltage. The enable/disable circuit disables the reverse current control circuit for a first predetermined time period when the output voltage of the switch circuit becomes lower than the first predetermined voltage after being higher than the first predetermined voltage, and enables the reverse current control circuit after the first predetermined time period.

Abstract: A current clamp circuit includes a current-source circuit, a current-sense circuit, and a feedback circuit. The current-sense circuit includes a transistor, a resistive network, and a multiplexer. The transistor outputs a sensed current signal having a current that is equal to a current of an output signal provided by the current-source circuit. The feedback circuit limits the current of the sensed current signal and the output signal below a threshold current. The multiplexer modifies a resistance of the resistive network based on a first control signal. The multiplexer circuit and the feedback circuit are programmed using the first control signal and a second control signal when the transistor operates in a linear region and in a saturation region, respectively, to accurately output the sensed current signal.
