摘要： A substrate fiber for a dry friction material includes a trunk portion extending in the axial direction of the fiber and divergent portions slightly diverged from a part of the trunk portion and having small diameters. The diameter of the trunk portion is from about 10 to 20 &mgr;m and the length of the trunk portion is from about 0.5 to 5 mm.
