Abstract: According to a first embodiment, a method may include determining, by a user equipment, that a secondary cell beam failure has occurred at a medium access control layer. The method may further include determining, by the user equipment, one or more other secondary cell candidates based on at least candidate beam measurements of a primary cell. The method may further include transmitting, by the user equipment, one or more data packets related to one or more selected other secondary cell candidates.
