    Abstract: According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided an apparatus configured to perform as a base station central unit control plane node, setup, into an inactive state, a protocol connection with at least one client node, wherein the apparatus does not control or actively serve the said client node while the protocol connection is in the inactive state, synchronize, while the protocol connection is in the inactive state, at least one control plane user equipment context of the base station from a second base station central unit control plane node which controls the at least one client node, and responsive to receiving an instruction from outside the apparatus, switch the protocol connection into an active state and begin controlling the at least one client node. The apparatus may serve user equipments directly or indirectly.

    Abstract: Techniques are provided for enabling user equipment (UE) context retrieval in radio resource control RRC inactive status with a shared radio access network (RAN) database (DB) within a distributed database architecture. A version indicator in an inactive Radio Network Temporary Identifier (I-RNTI) is populated by the UE to indicate one or more I-RNTI versions, defined herein, and indicates the type of data in the remainder of the I-RNTI used for communicating the location of a RAN DB that stores the UE context, to a target network node. The target network node then uses the data in the I-RNTI, further dependent on the I-RNTI version, to retrieve the UE content from the RAN database. Certain embodiments utilize a RAN DB Area (RDBA) and/or RAN DB Set Area (RDSA), and certain embodiments utilize a network node set ID.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a method for interference coordination for mobility. A first apparatus receives, from a second apparatus, a first interference coordination pattern of the second apparatus. The first apparatus transmits, to the second apparatus, a first handover request for handing over a first terminal device from the first apparatus to the second apparatus. The first apparatus receives, from the second apparatus, a first handover request acknowledgement comprising at least a first handover command. The first apparatus transmits, to the first terminal device, the first handover command based at least partly on the first interference coordination pattern of the second apparatus.
