摘要: A collision detecting device for a motor vehicle includes a base plate coupled within an open end of a bottomed cylindrical case and secured in place to provide a sealed chamber, a support shaft rotatably mounted within the sealed chamber, a rotary member provided on the support shaft for rotation therewith and having the center of gravity positioned eccentrically from its rotational axis, a pair of contact elements provided on the rotary member for rotation therewith and being symmetrically arranged with respect to the rotational axis of the rotary member, a pair of electric terminals fixed to the base plate, the terminals each having an internal contact portion slidably engageable with each of the contact elements and an external terminal pin for connection to an electric control circuit, and a spring disposed within the sealed chamber to apply a counteracting rotational force to the rotary member depending on an angle of rotation through which the rotary member has rotated.

摘要: A collision detecting device for automobiles or the like and adapted to produce, upon detection of a collision, an electric signal for actuating a safety device such as an air-bag. The collision detecting device comprises a housing closed at its one end, an end plate closing the end of the housing and provided with a terminal, a wheel having a lapping portion and a mechanism for bringing electrical contacts into and out of contact with each other, a block supporting one end of the shaft of the wheel and fixing the contacts, electrical contacts normally kept away from the contact portion of the terminal but are moved into contact with the latter in the event of a collision, a spring adapted to normally bias the wheel into contact with the projection of the block, a lid provided with a notch for fitting a cylindrical tab of the block and adapted to cover the wheel and the spring, a spring disposed between the lid and the closed end of the housing and adapted to press the lid, and the collision detecting device of the invention can easily be assembled by automatic assembling machines.

摘要: In a housing having a cylindrical bore, an inertia sensing weight is slidably disposed. At one end of said weight, a movable contact is normally carried in complementary engagement thereby separating from a stationary contact.When the weight moves under acceleration or deceleration, the movable contact accompanies the weight until the movable contact abuts the stationary contact. In the illustrated embodiment there is a second stationary contact normally separated from the first one. The movable contact, when closing, abuts both of them, making an electrical circuit therebetween.

摘要: An apparatus for detecting a collision of a vehicle of the like has a main body which includes a rotational member comprising an eccentric weight member and two cam members, a spiral spring member which is deformed and applies a counteracting rotational force to the rotational member in response to the occurrence of impactive acceleration or deceleration of a vehicle or the like when the magnitude of the acceleration or deceleration exceeds a predetermined value, contact which is actuated by the two cam members to be opened or closed when the rotational member rotates against the countertorque by the spiral spring member to reach a predetermined angle of rotation, a base assembly, and a lid member. The collision detecting apparatus is completed by enclosing the abovementioned main body in a case with a retaining spring member intervening therebetween.
