    摘要: A wireless communications system includes a radio network facilitating wireless communications with a wireless subscriber unit, a dispatch application server providing dispatch communications services to the subscriber unit via the radio network, and an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) infrastructure including a Proxy-Call Session Control Function (P-CSCF) and a Serving-CSCF (S-CSCF). The P-CSCF notifies the dispatch application server of subscriber unit registration events, allowing the dispatch application server to provide dispatch communications services without initiating a separate registration process. Dispatch communications are routed between the wireless subscriber unit and dispatch application server through the P-CSCF, bypassing the S-CSCF of the IMS infrastructure.

    摘要: Several embodiments of an IMS communications network are disclosed. In one embodiment, the network comprises a plurality of dispatch application servers (DAS), an S-CSCF, and an event notification server. The S-CSCF is adapted to receive an IMS registration request from a dispatch client, authenticate the registration request, send a registration confirmation to the dispatch client, and send a notification indicating the registration of the dispatch client to an event notification server. The event notification server is adapted to receive the notification from the S-CSCF, select a DAS, and send a notification to the selected DAS indicating an assignment to provide dispatch service to the dispatch client. In another embodiment, the registration notification to the event notification server is sent from the dispatch client, instead of the S-CSCF.

    摘要: A method and system to help reduce the impact of inter-node latency in session setup. In accordance with the method, a computer will predict a measure of call setup signaling latency for each of a number of wireless communication devices based on actual latency data for the coverage areas in which the devices are positioned, and the computer will then use the predicted latency measures as a basis to select one or more of the devices to wake up in advance of session initiation. The computer will then send at least one message that triggers wakeup of the selected device(s), so as to help reduce latency in subsequent initiation of a session with the selected device(s). Further, the computer may provide notification to a given device of the predicted latencies determined for other devices, to facilitate presentation of the latency information to a user.

The method includes receiving power status information for resource blocks of a plurality of wireless links, where the resource blocks comprise frequency apportioned timeslots used for exchanging wireless communications between wireless access nodes and user devices. The method also includes processing the power status information to identify ones of the resource blocks which exceed a power threshold, determining scheduling instructions for the resource blocks to reduce the power status information for the ones of the resource blocks to below the power threshold, and transferring the scheduling instructions to at least a first wireless access node for controlling a first wireless link based on the scheduling instructions.
