Abstract:
A caliber specific drill cartridge and an adaptor assembly for transforming the caliber specific drill cartridge for use in a first firearm chamber into a caliber specific drill cartridge assembly for use in a second firearm chamber. The adaptor assembly may include a drill cartridge having a first central axis, a rear casing, and a front casing with a first maximum outer dimension perpendicular to the first central axis. The front casing may be connected to the rear casing such that the front and rear casings cooperate to form a housing, which may be configured and dimensioned for chambering in a first firearm chamber. The adaptor assembly further may include a cartridge specific adaptor with a second central axis. The drill cartridge and the cartridge specific adaptor may be combined such that the adaptor assembly is configured and dimensioned for chambering in a second firearm chamber.
Abstract:
A training barrel having a central axis for housing a light emitting insert which includes an elongate member having a first end, a second end, and a first internal surface. The first internal surface extends from the first end to the second end. The internal surface includes a first segment which defines a first volume having a first cross sectional area perpendicular to the central axis, a second segment adjacent the first segment which defines a second volume having a second cross sectional area perpendicular to the central axis, and a third segment proximate the second segment which defines a third volume having a third cross sectional area perpendicular to the central axis, the third cross sectional area being greater than the second cross sectional area. The third segment may be configured and dimensioned to receive a light emitting insert and the first segment may be configured and dimensioned to receive a blank cartridge.
Abstract:
A multi-function dry fire training device to be inserted into the chamber of a firearm, which comprises an illuminator for emitting, upon receiving a command from a controller, a beam of visible or invisible illumination from the barrel of the firearm, the beam being parallel to its central axis; a controller for controlling the functionality of the device including illumination of the illuminator, in response to activation of the firearm trigger; an actuator, being electrically connected to the controller, for activating the controller whenever being struck by the firearm striker and a power source for providing DC power to the controller and illuminator.

Abstract:
A laser pointer or dry fire training device which may be activated by a control system based on accelerometer data and a library of event patterns. The event patterns may model fire arm training activities such as shooting, moving, weapon manipulation, reloading, and dry fire training. This invention also relates to a system and method for positioning a laser using a resilient biasing member that may be formed from a single sheet of metal.
