Abstract: A hinge-lid container for consumer articles is provided, the hinge-lid container defining an inner surface and an outer surface and including: a box configured to house the consumer articles; a lid hinged to the box along a hinge and being moveable between a closed position and an active position about the hinge, the hinge including a weakening line realized on the outer surface, the weakening line having a width between 0.1 millimetre and 1 millimetre; and an electric conductive trace provided on the outer surface, the weakening line passing through and interrupting the electric conductive trace, the electric conductive trace forming a closed circuit when the lid is in the active position and forming an open circuit when the lid is in the closed position. A method of forming a hinge-lid container for consumer articles is also provided.

Abstract: A container for consumer goods including elongated articles is provided, including: a lid and a box for housing consumer goods, the box including a box front wall with a box front lower section and a box front upper section and a first box side wall and a second box side wall, the upper first longitudinal edge in the box front upper section being tilted with respect to the lower first longitudinal edge in the box front lower section so that the upper first longitudinal edge is at an angle to the lower first longitudinal edge. The titled upper first longitudinal edge may advantageously assist in a smooth lid closure by reducing the risk that the lid catches the upper edges of the box when the lid rotates to its close position.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method of making a container for consumer goods, the method comprising: - forming a first multi-layer (100), the first multi-layer comprising a first cellulose (30) based layer and a first polymeric layer (31); - folding the first multi-layer (100) to form a package (10) comprising a lid portion and a box portion, the box portion and the lid portion being divided by an opening line, the lid portion being hinged to the box portion, the package defining a housing for the consumer goods, wherein the first multi-layer is so folded that the first polymeric layer is provided on an outer side of the first cellulose based layer; - forming an outer wrapper (101), the outer wrapper comprising a second cellulose (40) based layer and a second polymeric (41) layer; - wherein one of the first polymeric layer (31) and second polymeric layer (41) is a moisture barrier layer and the other of the first polymeric layer (31) and second polymeric layer (41) is a heat sealable layer; - wrapping the package with the outer wrapper (101), the outer wrapper covering, at least in part, the opening line, wherein the wrapping is made so that the second polymeric layer (41) is provided on an inner side of the second cellulose based layer (40); - heating the package and the outer wrapper (101), to seal the outer wrapper on the package (10), forming the container.
