Abstract: An aerosol-generating system includes an aerosol-generating article (100) comprising an article housing (110) and an aerosol-forming substrate (300) disposed in the article housing. The system further includes an aerosol-generating device (200) comprising a device housing (210) that defines a receptacle (220) configured to receive the aerosol-generating article. The device further includes control electronics (250) disposed in the device housing and includes a sensor (260) operably coupled to the control electronics and configured to detect a state of the device or the article when the article is received in the receptacle. In addition, the system includes a shape-changing element (270) disposed on or in at least one of the article housing and the device housing. The shape-changing element changes shape in response to the state of the device or the article detected by the sensor to cause a sufficient change in shape of an exterior surface of the device or the article to provide tactile feedback to a user.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for assembling an aerosol generating article, wherein a first component (1) of the aerosol generating article is arranged in a first groove (3), and an at least partially hollow second component (2) of the aerosol generating article is arranged in a second groove (4). The first component (1) is pushed in a first direction (100) along the first groove (3) into the second component (2) in the second groove (4), by relatively moving the first groove (3) in a second direction (200) with respect to a guide element (6) with an engagement surface (7), such that the engagement surface (7) engages and pushes the first component (1) in the first direction (100). The invention further provides an apparatus for assembling an aerosol generating article and a use of an inclined engagement surface (7) for the insertion of a first component (1) in an at least partially hollow second component (2) of an aerosol generating article.

The helical feature extends along the cavity length. An air inlet region is between the endpiece element and the capsule cavity. The air inlet region has an air inlet and an Nair passageway extending from the air inlet to the capsule cavity. A porous element defines a downstream end of the capsule cavity. A mouthpiece air channel extends from the capsule cavity, through the porous element to the mouthpiece end.

Abstract: An inhaler article (150) includes a body (151) extending along a longitudinal axis of the inhaler article from a mouthpiece end (154) to a distal end (156), a capsule cavity (155) and a capsule (160) retained within the capsule cavity. The central passage forms an air inlet aperture extending along the longitudinal axis of the inhaler article from the distal end of the body towards the capsule cavity, wherein the tubular element has a central passage inner diameter in a range from about 50% to about 90% of an inner diameter of the capsule cavity. The inhaler article is configured to receive a swirling inhalation airflow into the central passage.

The marking element is configured to mark an outer surface of an inhaler device when the inhaler device is received within the inhaler article cavity. The marking element extends orthogonally to the piercing element longitudinal axis.
