Abstract:
The object of the application is a detachable cutting head for an apparatus for feeding filter segments provided with a drum conveyor having flutes for crosswise movement of filter rods, provided with circular knives situated in knife units mounted in the housing of the head, characterized in that it comprises a housing of the head (8) provided with a reference surface (23) for positioning in the apparatus for feeding filter segments; seatings (20, 21) for positioning the knife units (10) and lead-out channels (25), knife units (10) with circular knives (6), whereas the positioning seatings (20, 21) are situated so that the circular knives (6) do not overlap. Furthermore, the object of the application is a drive apparatus of a cutting head and a method of coupling a cutting head.

Apparatus (1, 1′) for axial centring of a rod-like article (4, 4′) or a group (30) of rod-like articles wherein the rod-like article (4, 4′) or the group (30) of rod-like articles is conveyed in a flute (3) situated on the circumference of a drum conveyor (2), whereas the length of the article (4, 4′) or the total length of articles in the group (30) may vary, provided with pusher elements (5) acting on the rod-like article (4, 4′) or the group (30) of rod-like articles, characterized in that the pusher elements (5) of a shifting mechanism (13) are driven by a common driving unit (24, 24′) and are connected in such a way that the force exerted by the driving unit (24, 24′) is distributed to the pusher elements (5) acting axially on the rod-like article (4, 4′) or the group (30) of rod-like articles. The system for transferring rod-shaped articles comprises a reservoir for holding a plurality of rod-shaped articles and a conveyor band comprising a seat adapted to receive a rod-shaped article from the reservoir. The system further comprises a speed compensator for compensating a speed variation of a portion of the conveyor band such that a speed of another portion of the conveyor band is kept constant. There is also provided an arrangement for retaining rod-shaped articles in a conveyor band. The arrangement comprises a conveyor wheel, wherein the seat is guidable in the conveyor band around the conveyor wheel and comprises an offset conveyor band arranged in parallel and at a distance to the conveyor band along a section of the conveyor band.
