Abstract: An actuator for a valve in an internal combustion engine includes an actuator housing, an electromagnet arranged in the actuator housing, the electromagnet comprising a yoke plate arranged at an axial end of the actuator housing, at least one clamping plate, and a sealing ring arranged at an axial side of the yoke plate facing the electromagnet. The sealing ring is pressed axially towards the yoke plate via the at least one clamping plate.
