Abstract: A low cost, multi-element, adjustable lens assembly for use in photographic apparatus. The assembly features a two part molded plastic lens mount comprising forward and rear mounts each having an uncentered lens element insert molded and centered therein. The mount also includes integrally molded helical screw threads for coupling the forward and rear mounts together, integrally molded structure for aligning and retaining additional lens elements in the rear mount, a pair of integrally molded slots through which a between-the-lens shutter and/or aperture defining mechanism may extend into an air space between two lens elements, integrally molded arms for mounting the rear mount in the apparatus, and integrally molded gear teeth for coupling the forward mount to a focusing mechanism of the apparatus.
