摘要: The present invention is to provide a method of favorably forming an organic EL device with the inverted structure by the wet process. On that account, an organic EL device includes a cathode, an electron injection layer, a light emitting layer, a hole transport layer, a hole injection layer, an anode are formed in this order on a substrate. The electron injection layer is formed by applying ink between banks and drying the ink. The ink is formed by dissolving a polymer compound having an organic phosphine oxide skeleton in an alcohol solvent. The light emitting layer is formed by applying ink between components of the bank and the drying the ink. The ink is formed by dissolving material for light emitting layer such as polyphenylene vinylene (PPV) derivative or polyfluorene derivative in a nonpolar solvent.

摘要: An organic EL device including an organic EL portion, wiring, and an externally-connecting terminal, which are disposed above a substrate having flexibility. The substrate has a first region above which the organic EL portion is disposed, a second region above which the terminal is disposed, and a bend portion between the first and second regions. The bend portion corresponds to a predetermined portion of the organic EL device at which the organic EL device is to be bent. The organic EL portion is covered by an inorganic sealing film, and the inorganic sealing film is covered by a resin sealing film. An end of the inorganic sealing film in a direction of the terminal does not extend over the bend portion towards the terminal, and an end of the resin sealing film in the direction of the terminal extends over the bend portion towards the terminal.

摘要: A method for manufacturing a light-emitting device, comprising: forming, over a substrate, a plurality of multilayered light-emitting structures each including a first electrode, a light-emitting layer, and a second electrode; forming, in the substrate, a plurality of grooves that surround the multilayered light-emitting structures individually; forming, over the substrate, a sealing film that covers the multilayered light-emitting structures and the grooves; and separating the multilayered light-emitting structures from one another after forming the sealing film, by cutting the substrate such that, in each groove, part of the sealing film covering a given inner side surface of the groove remains, the given inner side surface being adjacent to any of the multilayered light-emitting structures.
