    Abstract: An electrolytic capacitor includes an anode body, a dielectric layer formed on the anode body, and a solid electrolyte layer covering at least a portion of the dielectric layer. The solid electrolyte layer includes a first conductive polymer layer covering at least a portion of the dielectric layer, and a second conductive polymer layer covering at least a portion of the first conductive polymer layer. The second conductive polymer layer includes a second conductive polymer and a water-soluble polymer. The water-soluble polymer is a copolymer including a hydrophilic monomer unit having a hydrophilic group. The hydrophilic group is at least one group selected from the group consisting of a carboxyl group, an acid anhydride group, a phenolic hydroxyl group, and a C2-3 alkylene oxide group.

    Abstract: An electrolytic capacitor includes an anode body, a dielectric layer disposed on the anode body, and a solid electrolyte layer disposed on the dielectric layer. The solid electrolyte layer includes a first conductive polymer layer, a second conductive polymer layer, and a third conductive polymer layer that are disposed in this order from the dielectric layer. The first conductive polymer layer contains a first conductive polymer having a thiophene skeleton. The second conductive polymer layer contains a second conductive polymer having at least one of an aniline skeleton and a pyrrole skeleton. The third conductive polymer layer contains a third conductive polymer having a thiophene skeleton.

    Abstract: A solid electrolytic capacitor includes a capacitor element, an anode terminal, a cathode terminal, and an outer package. The capacitor element includes an anode part, a dielectric body formed on a surface of the anode part, and a cathode part containing a conductive polymer. The anode terminal is electrically connected to the anode part. The cathode terminal is electrically connected to the cathode part. The outer package houses the capacitor element while exposing a part of the anode terminal and a part of the cathode terminal. The solid electrolytic capacitor includes a communicating path that connects a surface of the capacitor element to an exterior of the outer package.

    Abstract: A first conductive polymer solution in which fine particles of a conductive polymer are dispersed is applied to a dielectric layer of aluminum oxide, and this solution is dried to form a first conductive polymer layer. Next, a coating solution is applied to the first conductive polymer layer, this solution containing at least one selected from an aromatic sulfonic acid having, in one molecule of the acid, a carboxyl group and a hydroxyl group, or two carboxyl groups, and a salt of the aromatic sulfonic acid. The solution is then dried to form a coating layer. Next, a second conductive polymer solution is applied to the coating layer, the solution being a solution in which fine particles of a conductive polymer are dispersed. This solution is then dried to form a second conductive polymer layer. This process gives a solid electrolyte layer of a capacitor element.
