Abstract: A controller of an imaging apparatus performs, if the controller can not obtain information on a focal length of an interchangeable lens from the interchangeable lens, the controller controls to perform an image stabilization operation using, as the focal length, an estimated focal length calculated based on at least one of a combination of a detected shake amount and an image motion amount in image data, or a combination of the detected shake amount and a motion amount of an image sensor. The controller controls whether to execute or stop the image stabilization operation by a first image stabilizer based on at least one of a correlation between the detected shake amount and the image motion amount, or a correlation between the detected shake amount and the motion amount of the image sensor.

Abstract: An imaging apparatus includes: a shake detector that detects a shake amount of at least one of an interchangeable lens and a camera body; an image stabilization unit that performs an image stabilization by moving at least one of a correction lens and an imaging device by an image stabilization amount obtained based on the shake amount; a storage unit that stores drive limit range information that indicates a relationship between an aperture value and a drive limit range corresponding to the interchangeable lens; and a controller. The drive limit range includes a range where the at least one of the correction lens and the imaging device is to be moved by the controller, and in the drive limit range, a light attenuation rate is less than or equal to a predetermined value. The controller sets the aperture value based on the drive limit range information and causes the image stabilization unit to perform the image stabilization, when a shooting mode is not a first mode that allows designation of the aperture value.

Abstract: The interchangeable lens includes: a shake correction processing unit configured to calculate an amount of shake correction for the correction lens and an imaging device; and a lens driving unit configured to perform image blur correction by moving the correction lens in a plane perpendicular to an optical axis based on an output from the shake correction processing unit. The camera body includes a device driving unit configured to perform image blur correction by moving the imaging device in a plane perpendicular to the optical axis. The lens driving unit moves the correction lens to a predetermined center position and the device driving unit shifts the imaging device by an amount corresponding to an amount of the movement of the correction lens to the center position at a beginning of exposure. The lens driving unit drives the correction lens during a period of the exposure.

Abstract: An imaging apparatus has one of the interchangeable lens and the camera body acting as a master and the other acting as a slave. The master has a shake detection unit configured to detect a shake of the camera body and/or the interchangeable lens; and a shake correction processing unit configured to calculate an amount of shake correction for the correction lens and the imaging device based on an output from the shake detection unit. The shake correction processing unit performs arithmetic processing for calculating a shake correction signal and separates the shake correction signal into a low frequency domain and a high frequency domain. One of the lens driving unit and the device driving unit performs the image blur correction based on the shake correction signal of the high frequency domain, and the other performs the image blur correction based on the shake correction signal of the low frequency domain.
