摘要： A computer-implemented method and computer readable media for creating an ontology for a domain by reference to a knowledge corpus comprising linked documents and a category hierarchy wherein each document can be contained in one or more categories and wherein categories can contain one or more other categories. In some embodiments, the method comprises: searching the corpus to identify documents with text that matches a seed domain description; identifying further documents within the corpus that are semantically similar to the identified documents; identifying a subgraph of the category hierarchy that includes the categories assigned to the extracted documents and the further documents; reducing the subgraph to form the ontology by requiring that documents therein be indicative of a second domain description, the second domain description being at least as broad as the seed domain description.

摘要： Apparatus for use by a golfer with a putter, and the method of its use, includes a member, removably and firmly attachable at/near its lower end to the shaft of the putter, and extending upwardly from the point of attachment and having an upper end, and the upper end of the member being adapted to contact an appropriate part of the anatomy of the golfer. When a golfer executes a correct putting stroke, the upper end of the member remains in contact with that part of the golfer's anatomy throughout the whole of the swing but, if the stroke is not correct, the upper end of the member either loses contact, or moves across, or presses harder into the anatomy of the golfer. A contact device in the form of a resilient ball or the like is fixed to the or each upper end. These are capable of giving an audible or visual warning of loss of contact with the golfer's body or of increased contact pressure with the body.

摘要： A surveillance system based upon generation and detection of phase shifted harmonic signals from markers on articles or persons, responsive to transmission of a reference signal at a fundamental frequency in a detection zone, may be adversely affected by the presence in the detection zone of large metal objects, such as shopping carts. Such objects can alter the phase of the harmonic signals from predetermined values. An alternate signal processing technique for such a surveillance system recognizes that immunity to such disturbances can be achieved by measuring the phase between two or more of the harmonic signals returned from the marker, because the effect of such large metal objects has been found to have the same effect on all of the harmonic signals. Correspondence to a predetermined phase difference is a reliable indicator of marker detection.
