摘要: A direct current powered, linear resonant cryocooler having a compressor in which the piston is reciprocated by a linear motor at substantially resonant frequency and the length of stroke of the piston is varied as a direct function of cryocooler temperature. There are two control loops, a temperature control loop and a voltage control loop which is independent of the temperature control loop. In the temperature control loop, temperature is sensed at the cryocooler or expander and the temperature signal is compared with a reference temperature signal to produce a temperature error signal or voltage. The voltage control loop controls motor voltage. As input to the voltage control loop, the linear motor voltage is fed back and compared with the temperature error voltage V.sub.TE to produce a voltage level signal V.sub.L in the input of the voltage control loop, representative of the correction required to obtain and then to maintain the cryocooler temperature represented by the reference temperature voltage. Either a pulse width modulated, variable amplitude sine wave signal or a constant duty cycle, pulse width modulated, square wave signal powers the linear motor.

摘要: A flush hinge for pivotally connecting a door to an adjacent wall wherein first and second hinge members are connected by a pintle to move about a pivot axis. The pivot axis is substantially centered in the width dimension of each of the first and second knuckle portions and an inside face of each knuckle portions forms a stop face for the door or wall to position them inside the pivot axis so the ends of the hinge members remain in close proximity as the first hinge member moves. The first and second hinge members have a tongue and groove fitting and stop faces that abut to hold the hinge member in both open and closed positions. In a first embodiment the pivot axis is substantially centered between adjacent edges of the door and walls with an inner face of the hinge being in the same plane as the door and wall to fill a gap therebetween. The first embodiment has a base portion that extends into a hollow wall support and fastens to the inside thereof. A second embodiment has a base portion that fastens to a wall fin substantially centered in the gap and forms a part of the playing surface. A third embodiment has a base portion projecting rearwardly of the stationary second leaf portion, attaches to the back side of a support fin and utilizes a notch in the wall.

摘要: A movable wall system for athletic courts makes the same court suitable for both racquetball, handball and squash play. The system disclosed includes a movable wall assembly between the front wall and back support structure at the back. Extensible and retractable side linkage assemblies connect between the movable wall assembly and back support structure that will stabilize the wall during movement. Side rollers and bottom rollers on the wall assembly facilitate sliding movement. Slide bolt catches hold the wall against movement in either the retracted or extended positions and latching mechanisms hold the wall assembly to the back wall in the retracted position.
