The method and system involve a bank of wagering game terminals connected to a bank controller. Each wagering game terminal allows players to play a basic wagering game that is independent of other wagering game terminals. The wagering game terminals also allow players to play a bonus game where players take turns playing to win a portion of a jackpot. The portion awarded to each player may be the actual amount won by that player, or it may be a percentage of the entire jackpot based on the actual amount won by the player relative to other players. In one implementation, only players at wagering game terminals that exceed a minimum level of wagering activity may play the bonus game.

摘要： A method of conducting a video poker game that includes a plurality of winning hands that award corresponding payouts to a player is disclosed. A wager is received from a player to play the video poker game and in response a final user-playable hand is formed. The final user-playable hand includes a plurality of cards that are displayed to the player on a display. In response to the final user-playable hand being one of the plurality of winning hands, the cards forming a winning combination within the winning hand are removed from the final user-playable hand and are replaced with other cards to form a first bonus hand. A first payout corresponding to the one of the plurality of winning hands in the final user-playable hand is awarded.

摘要： According to one aspect of the present invention, a method of conducting a video poker game on a gaming machine and a gaming machine are disclosed. The method comprises receiving a wager from a player to play a block of hands and displaying a plurality of cards from a deck of cards to form a final user-playable hand for each hand in the block of hands. The method further comprises collecting a feature of at least one of the final user-playable hands in a card accumulation area. The method further comprises providing an award based on the card accumulation area meeting a predetermined criterion during the block of hands.

The method/system of the invention involves a bank of wagering game terminals connected to a bank server. In addition to a basic wagering game, the wagering game terminals allow players to play a bonus game where only one or some of the players may win a prize. In one implementation, the prize is a jackpot composed entirely of game credits won by the players in the bonus game and pooled by the bank server. In another implementation, only players at wagering game terminals that exceed a minimum level of wagering activity may play the bonus game. The player that wins the bonus game receives the jackpot. If there are multiple winners, the jackpot is distributed amongst the winners based on their performance in the bonus game or some other criterion.
