Abstract: A beverage can with an ingredient chamber for storing functional ingredients separately from a base beverage until the beverage can is opened by a consumer. The ingredient chamber may be disposed on a can end of the beverage can. The ingredient chamber may be broken open to release functional ingredients automatically when the beverage can is opened by the consumer. In some embodiments, the ingredient chamber includes a membrane that forms a sealed cavity. In some embodiments, the ingredient chamber includes a deformed cavity of the can end.

Abstract: A beverage container for a carbonated beverage may include a body and a base. The base may have a skirt that extends from the body and a dome. Ribs extend between the skirt and the dome. The base may also include a plurality of feet. Each foot may be formed between each pair of adjacent ribs. The feet may extend from the skirt to the dome. Each foot may have a seat and two sidewalls. A transition point of each rib may be between the skirt and the dome. A tangent line formed at each transition point may have a slope of zero. A transition between each foot's seat and each foot's sidewalls may be smooth.

Abstract: A beverage container that includes a base, a cylindrical sidewall extending from and integrally formed with the base, and an upper region extending from the sidewall and defining an upper opening. The beverage container includes a longitudinal axis extending in a direction from the base to the upper opening. The beverage container further includes a continuous channel formed in and extending around a circumference of the sidewall. The continuous channel is sinusoidal such that the continuous channel forms peaks and troughs. A height of the continuous channel as measured in a direction of the longitudinal axis from a peak to a trough is about 30% to 80% of a height of the sidewall, such that the continuous channels resists elongation of the beverage container in a direction of the longitudinal axis.

Abstract: A metal bottle assembly adapted for use on a plastic bottling includes a metal bottle with an outsert assembled on the neck portion of the bottle. The outsert may be constructed from plastic material and may be fixed to the bottle using an interference fit. The outsert enables the bottle to be placed on a plastic bottling line with minimal or no modifications to the bottling line. The outsert also ensures that the metal bottle is not damaged by handling on the plastic bottling line. In some embodiments, the outsert is designed to elastically deform as it is pressed on the neck of a pre-formed metal bottle and therefore create the interference fit between the outsert and the bottle. In some embodiments the outsert is retained on the neck of the bottle through the interference fit alone.
