    摘要: A data processing system and method are provided for repetitively determining a resource amount for counterbalancing the transfer of a failure risk pertaining to a bundle of constructs that may individually fail. The system has data storage for storing reference values of the bundle of constructs for distinct individual time instances during the resource amount determination. The reference values indicate a value of a respective reference construct or a value of a reference bundle of constructs. The system further has a calculation unit connected to the data storage for calculating a value of the resource amount for an individual time instance based on the reference values. The technique is suitable for valuing a futures contract that is based on a basket of credit default swaps as underlyings.

    摘要: A technique is provided for managing bundles of constructs that may individually fail. Each bundle has a repetitively updated resource amount for counterbalancing a transfer of a failure risk pertaining to the respective bundle. Construct data is stored and a value of the resource amount is calculated for an individual time instance based on the construct data. It is determined whether a construct of a first bundle has failed. If not, a value of a resource amount for the first bundle is calculated. If a construct has failed, a second bundle is generated that includes all constructs of the first bundle except for the construct having failed, and a value of a resource amount for the second bundle is calculated. The technique is particularly suitable for managing futures contracts that are based on a basket of credit default swaps as underlyings.

    摘要: A VPN gateway is described that provides single sign-on (SSO) functionality with respect to remote users who have established tunneling sessions with the VPN gateway and who attempt to access a protected resource. The VPN gateway may receive, from a client device, a security assertion request that includes a request for a security assertion to be made by the VPN gateway with respect to a user of a private network associated with the VPN gateway, determine whether the security assertion request was received via a tunneling session established for the user between the client device and the VPN gateway, and issue a security assertion for the user in response to determining that the security assertion request was received via the tunneling session. In this way, a VPN gateway may act as an SSO identity provider for users that have an established tunneling session with the gateway.

    摘要: A virtual private network (VPN) client for cellular mobile devices is described. The VPN network client processes network packets for securely tunneling the network packets between the cellular mobile device and the remote VPN security device. Upon establishing the VPN connection, the VPN network client receives a web-based home page from the secure VPN device via a secure response, dynamically parses bookmark links from the secure response and renders a bookmark window using input controls native to the cellular mobile device without invoking a web browser on the cellular mobile device. Each of the input controls corresponds to a different one of the bookmarks parsed from the secure response. Upon selection of one of the input controls, the VPN network client formulates and outputs an appropriate request to the secure VPN device as if a corresponding one of the bookmark links were selected by the user.

The image forming apparatus includes a load cell positioned in a developer station. The load cell is adapted to sense a mass of a toner cassette at least during an insertion of the toner cassette into the apparatus. A processor is adapted to determine a toner volume contained in the toner cassette based on a mass differential. A controller is adapted to drive or suspend a motor in the developer station to control an operation of the image forming apparatus. The controller controls the operation based on the toner volume.
