摘要： A snowmobile ice scratcher has a wire form in the shape of a hook secured to a track frame of the snowmobile. The wire form has a coil portion at the track frame and a downwardly extending leg portion that in an undeflected position has an elongate snow/ice spray generating portion configured as a flattened wire segment portion oriented downwardly, forwardly, and inwardly for generating snow/ice spray on hard packed snow and/or ice surfaces. An upwardly facing flat surface of the elongate snow/ice spray generating portion faces upwardly, inwardly, and forwardly and creates an ice/snow spray as the snowmobile is moving forward that is primarily directed inwardly to provide improved lubrication of the track assembly and improved deposition of ice/snow spray under the tunnel on a heat exchanger, thereby providing improved cooling of the snowmobile engine. The hook shape of the leg portion allows rearward operation of the snowmobile without damage to the ice scratcher.

摘要： A snowmobile has a steering system with a handlebar, the system having a steering post comprising an upwardly extending yoke attached to the handlebar, a tubular post portion unitary with the yoke, the tubular post portion attachable to the snowmobile frame, and a lower steering arm at the lower end of and unitary with the tubular post portion, the lower steering arm projecting at an angle downwardly, forwardly and to the right. The steering post is unitarily formed by forging, casting, metal injection molding or the like. A central bore extending through the steering post formed by machining, the pair of bearing surfaces on the steering post formed by machining, two upper yoke arms machined to receive a handlebar clamp and the handlebar. The steering system may include a pair of spacer members receivable by the yoke, the spacer members then receiving the handle bar for providing handlebar height adjustment.

摘要： A snowmobile throttle control system comprises a throttle block with a throttle thumb lever pivotally connected thereto, the throttle block clamped to a snowmobile handlebar next to a right hand grip. The hand grip and/or thumb lever having electric heaters. The configuration of the throttle block and thumb lever reducing issues associated with snow and or ice buildup between the two during operation of the throttle control system by vertically and horizontally spacing respective confronting portions of each, effecting shear forces on any such ice or snow between the two, and by minimizing heat transfer between the handlebar and throttle block by reducing the contact between clamping surfaces of the throttle block engaging the handlebar thereby minimizing melting and freezing of the snow and ice at the throttle control system. The thumb lever and throttle block providing integrated securement structure for wires associated with the electric heaters.
