Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatuses, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for a DPU enhancement that provides an improved HDCP user experience. A display processor may configure a plurality of frames for a display panel, where each of the plurality of frames may be associated with an authentication level. The display processor may determine whether the authentication level of at least one frame of the plurality of frames is greater than an authentication level of the display panel and, if the authentication level of the at least one frame is greater than the authentication level of the display panel, the display panel may skip/drop a transmission of the at least one frame to the display panel.
