Abstract: Efficient RAT frequency scanning based on false alarms is described. A first RAT associated with multiple frequency bands, and a first frequency band among the multiple frequency bands, may be selected. A first signal scan associated with the first RAT may be performed in the first frequency band to identify a candidate signal in the first frequency band. Determining that the candidate signal is not associated with the first RAT may signal a false alarm, and information related to the candidate signal may be stored as false alarm information. A second RAT associated with at least one of the multiple frequency bands, and a second frequency band among the at least one of the multiple frequency bands, may be selected based on the stored false alarm information. A second signal scan associated with the second RAT in the second frequency band may be performed.
