摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device such as a user equipment (UE) may monitor a search space of a control channel for at least one downlink transmission. The UE may perform a plurality of decoding operations on a plurality of decoding candidates associated with the downlink control information format transmitted in a plurality of transmission time intervals (TTIs). In some cases, the plurality of decoding operations may comprise performing a first decoding on a first decoding candidate received in a current TTI, the first decoding operation applying a first descrambling code to the first decoding candidate, and performing a second decoding operation on a combined decoding candidate that comprises soft combined information from the first and second decoding candidate, the second decoding candidate received in a prior TTI.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A transmitter may generate a first segmentation based on a first subset of control information and a second segmentation based on jointly encoding the first subset and a second subset of the control information. The transmitter may polar encode the first segmentation to generate a first codeword and the second segmentation to generate a second codeword, and transmit the first and second codewords. A receiver may determine a first bit sequence corresponding to the first subset based on decoding a first codeword and determine an error detection code (EDC) and a second bit sequence corresponding to the second subset based on decoding a second codeword. The receiver may perform error detection on the first and second bit sequences based on the determined EDC, and output the first bit sequence and the second bit sequence or a decoding error.

摘要: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communications and, more particularly, to methods and apparatus for dynamic frozen polar codes, for example, for control channels. An exemplary method may be performed at the encoder. The method generally includes encoding a stream of bits using a polar code. The encoding includes selecting a first set of channel indices for encoding information bits. The encoding includes selecting a second set of the channel indices smaller than a channel index for a first information bit for encoding fixed frozen bits. The encoding includes selecting remaining channel indices for dynamic frozen (PCF) bits having values based on one or more of the information bits. The method includes transmitting the encoded stream of bits.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described for dynamic frozen bits of polar codes for early termination and performance improvement. A wireless device may receive a signal comprising a codeword encoded using a polar code. The wireless device may perform decoding of the codeword including at least: parity check of a first subset of decoding paths for making a decision on early termination of decoding of the codeword based on dynamic frozen bits, and generating path metrics for a second subset of the decoding paths that each pass the parity check based on the dynamic frozen bits, and performing error detection on a bit sequence corresponding to one of the second subset of the decoding paths based at part on error detection bits and the generated path metrics. The wireless device may process the information bits based on a result of the decoding.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, wireless devices may encode and decode transmissions using polar codes. A transmitting device may encode a payload based on a selected payload size. For example, the transmitting device may construct a bit vector including payload bits, parity bits, frozen bits, or some combination of these, and may modify the bits or the order of the bits based on the selected payload size. The device may generate a polar-encoded codeword based on this bit vector, and may transmit the polar-encoded codeword to a receiving device. The receiving device may blind decode the polar-encoded codeword, and may determine the correct payload size based on the decoded bit vector. For example, the device may perform decoding or may check decoded bits based on a payload size hypothesis, where the decoding may fail for any incorrect payload size hypothesis.

摘要: A transmitting device may identify a set of bit locations of a polar code for encoding an input vector based at least in part on a reliability order of the bit locations, where the input vector includes a set of payload bits. The transmitting device may map bits of the input vector to respective bit locations of the identified set of bit locations and may apply a masking operation to a subset of bits of the input vector that is mapped to a most reliable subset of the set of bit locations. The transmitting device may perform an encoding operation according to the mapped input vector to generate a codeword for transmission. A receiving device may perform complementary operations to obtain the payload bits of the input vector. Based on the described techniques, a false alarm rate for the receiving device may be suppressed.
