Abstract: A method of repairing a composite material, the composite material comprising fibres embedded in a matrix, comprises the steps of: identifying a damaged portion of a composite material; applying thermal energy directly to a section of the composite material including the damaged portion, so as to remove the matrix material whilst retaining the fibres; filling the section of the composite material with replacement matrix material.
