摘要： 1. A method of forming a shaped, propellant charge having a sponge-like cellular structure which comprises incorporating in a colloided nitrocellulose composition a solvent for an inert gas, placing the said composition in a suitable mold, subjecting said composition to an atmosphere of inert gas at elevated pressures and to heat not exceeding 65*C, and then releasing the gaseous pressure whereby the explosive composition is expanded to form a unitary, spongy structure substantially in the form of the mold.
