摘要： Apparatus, and an associated method, facilitates changeover of mode of operation of a mobile station operable in a cellular communication system. Changeover of the mode of operation of the mobile station is required when the mobile station is operated in the packet mode and a circuit-switched call is to be terminated at the mobile station. A page is transmitted to the mobile station which includes an allocation of time during which a response to a page forming a request to suspend the packet mode of operation is to be generated.

The opening connects the front cavity to an exterior of the housing. A rear cavity is coupled to a second side of the transducer, the second side of the transducer being on an opposite side of the transducer to the first side of the transducer. The speaker arrangement has a first physical arrangement when the housing is in the first configuration and a second physical arrangement when the housing is in the second configuration, the first physical arrangement being different to the second physical arrangement.

摘要： A method enables the introduction of a 200 kHz GSM-type network into a TDMA system having a bandwidth that is substantially less than a 2.5 MHz bandwidth normally employed for GSM-type networks. The method provides a 52-multiframe containing 12 blocks of four consecutive frames, two idle frames, and two control channels, and rotates the control channels belonging to a serving time group over odd timeslot numbers as 7, 5, 3, 1, 7, 5, . . . , etc. Preferably the rotation occurs between frame numbers (FN) mod 52=3 and 4. Information specifying at least the rotation direction is signalled to the mobile station in a downlink synchronization channel.
