摘要： A self-guided apparatus for repelling birds through various means of deterrence. The device comprises a chassis, a floatation assembly, a propulsion system, and a guidance and control system. The device may operate in either of at least two modes: passive and active. In the passive mode, the device traverses a predefined area, scaring birds away. In the active mode, the device surveys a designated area and, upon detection of birds, propels itself towards the birds and drives them away.

摘要： An optical sugar cane yield monitor that consist of a row of optical sensors mounted in the elevator floor of the harvester in such a way that when combined with the appropriate electronics, software, and connections, the system measures a duty-cycle type reading of billet depth on the slats that is related to the amount of sugar cane flow through the harvester. The sensors are inserted in the elevator floor in such a way that they run in the material flow and self-clean with the normal souring of the elevator floor.

摘要： A lighting device for illuminating the titles of a plurality of cassettes stored in a container having an upwardly open lid which includes a housing, having a top opening and overall dimensions substantially equal with a cassette case, provided with a light transmitting or reflecting member vertically biased upward through the top opening of the housing when the lid of the cassette container is opened. A circuit, connected with a source of electrical energy, including a normally open switch and a lamp, energizes the lamp to illuminate the cassettes by the upward movement of the light reflecting member.
