摘要: A current-steering digital-to-analog converter (DAC) is tested using a test component having a relaxation oscillator with an oscillation frequency based on the output current of the DAC. A series of test values is provided in sequence to the DAC for conversion to an output current with a magnitude that varies with the test values. The test component counts the number of oscillations (“the oscillation count”) of the relaxation oscillator over a fixed duration that is substantially equal for each test value. As the number of oscillations over the fixed duration depends on the oscillation frequency of the relaxation oscillator, which in turn is based on the magnitude of the output current, the oscillation count can be used as a relative measure of the magnitude of the output current for the corresponding test value. Accordingly, the oscillation counts for the test values can be used to determine operational characteristics of the DAC.

摘要: Some implementations provide techniques and arrangements for distance measurements between computing devices. Some examples determine a distance between devices based at least in part on a propagation time of audio tones between the devices. Further, some examples determine the arrival time of the audio tones by performing autocorrelation on streaming data corresponding to recorded sound to determine a timing of an autocorrelation peak indicative of a detection of an audio tone in the streaming data. In some cases, cross correlation may be performed on the streaming data in a search window to determine a timing of a cross correlation peak indicative of the detection of the audio tone in the streaming data. The location of the search window in time may be determined based at least in part on the timing of the detected autocorrelation peak.

摘要: Step detection and step length estimation techniques include detecting salient points in sensor data of one or more sensors. A step frequency is estimated based on a time interval between the detected salient points. A step length of the step may then be computed based on a nonlinear combination of the estimated step frequency and a function of the sensor data, and/or a step model. Alternatively, the step length of the step may be computed based on a combination of a nonlinear function of the estimated step frequency and a (linear or nonlinear) function of the sensor data, and/or a step model.

The method may further include generating a candidate region of interest set including one or more regions of interest within the target image. The method may additionally include determining a recommended region of interest set including one or more recommended regions of interest selected from the candidate region of interest set based at least in part upon evaluation criteria. The evaluation criteria may be determined based at least in part upon analysis of maintained region of interest-based searching history. The method may also include providing the recommended region of interest set for user selection of one or more target regions of interest from the recommended region of interest set as query criteria for searching an image library for one or more result images. Corresponding apparatuses are also provided.

摘要: Some implementations disclosed herein provide techniques and arrangements to enable interactive zones. For example, some implementations detect that a user has entered a zone associated with a physical object, where the zone is created via magnetic induction. In response to detecting that the user has entered the zone, some implementations send a virtual object representation of the physical object to a user device (e.g., a wireless phone) associated with the user. The user may interact with the virtual object, including selecting a command associated with the virtual object. Selecting the command may cause the physical object to perform one or more actions. In some implementations, a result of the physical object performing the one or more actions is sent to the user device.

摘要: An implementation of location estimation using image analysis is described. In this implementation, an image of a place is obtained and matched with previously stored images. The matching may be achieved by employing methods based on key feature extraction algorithm, color histogram analysis, pattern matching or other image comparison techniques. Upon determining a match, the location information associated with the image provides the location. The location information may be in the form of location tags or location keywords and the location information may be used by the user or other applications for the purposes of location determination. The technique allows for the user to enter location information. The location information may be assigned to the previously stored images residing in local and remote databases for users and applications to assign information or keywords to images.
