Abstract: A sight frame assembly for a weapon simulator includes one or more connection arms. The connection arms are for slidably coupling the sight frame assembly to the weapon simulator. The connection arms include a passageway for slidably receiving a guide rod that is attached to a sight frame assembly mounting point on the weapon simulator. A spring is positioned in proximity to the guide rod. The sight frame assembly is disposed in a first position along a longitudinal axis of the weapon simulator when the spring is in an uncompressed state, and the sight frame assembly is disposed in a second position along the longitudinal axis of the weapon simulator when the spring is in a compressed state.

Abstract: An assembly comprises, in operable communication, a processor, a communications system, a sensory subsystem, a health management system, and a security system, where the assembly is configured to interface between a simulation system and a computer system that controls the simulation system. The communications system controls communications between the simulation system and the computer system. The sensory subsystem provides commands to the simulation system to enable it to provide a simulated user experience to the user that engages one or more senses of the user with a simulation that the respective one or more senses can detect. The health management system monitors health event information relating to one or more environmental characteristics in which the simulation system is operating. The security system monitors security events associated with the assembly, the security events related to at least one of physical and logical intrusion into the assembly.

Abstract: A system determines a location of a sighting apparatus for a weapon simulator in three-dimensional space using a three-dimensional positional tracking system. Upon placement of a virtual reality (VR) head mounted display (HMD) in proximity to the sighting apparatus for the weapon simulator, the system determines a location of the VR HMD in three-dimensional space using the tracking system. The system then analyzes the relationship between the locations of the virtual trainer and the VR HMD, and upon determining that the VR HMD is properly positioned in relation to the virtual trainer, the system locks a visual feed to the VR HMD.
