摘要： Apparatus for use in a blood collection system comprising a combined armrest/writing/worksurface adapted to be supported for adjustable movement on a donor lounge. An upper elongated generally horizontally extending trough supports the arm of a donor during venipuncture. An inclined planar writing surface is provided for supporting documents relating to the blood being collected, with a clip means if desired to temporarily retain such documents in position. A further elongated generally horizontally extending trough functions to support various paraphernalia utilized in the collection of blood, including the blood bag, hemostats and various tools, with a tape holding means for rotatably supporting a roll of tape for easy access by a nurse. The armrest/writing/worksurface is rotatably carried on a generally vertically extending upper portion of an elongated standard, with an inclined portion terminating in a lower offset generally vertically extending portion adapted to be rotatably supported on the frame of a donor lounge, as well as vertically adjustable.

摘要： A stackable wheeled chair particularly for use in a mobile blood collection system. Each chair comprises a pair of laterally spaced, generally inverted U-shaped leg means. Each leg means includes front and rear leg members which diverge downwardly from an upper connecting member with flared offset portion at the lower end of each of each leg member rotatably supporting a caster means. Each leg means includes a stacking member spanning its front and rear leg members and positioned below the connecting member. The stacking members includes portions resting on the connecting member of the next lower chair in a stack with side portions to preclude lateral tipping. The wheels of the caster members ride on the flared portion of the next lower chair in a stack to preclude front-to-back tipping. Substantially no other contact exists between the stacked chairs to preclude wedging.

摘要： An article support and transfer assembly includes a carrier frame, which is selectively shiftable between raised and lowered positions relative to a countertop work surface, and an article support tray which is mounted for sliding movement in opposing directions between a first extended position, wherein the article support tray projects, at least partially, over the work surface and, a second extended position, wherein the tray projects over a side edge portion of the countertop. The tray can be shifted between the first and second extended positions for loading and unloading thereof and arranged in an intermediate position wherein the tray can be lowered with the carrier frame into a base associated with the countertop.

摘要： A cooling or support rack is embedded into a work surface of a countertop at a position generally, directly in front of one or more doors of an oven arranged above the countertop. Preferably, the oven incorporates a pair of arcuate, sliding doors which are movable from a closed position to an open position wherein the doors do not extend over the cooling rack. The upper surface of the cooling rack is substantially flush with both the countertop and a lowermost cookware support surface within the oven such that cookware can be readily slid into and out of the oven.

摘要： A ventilation system for a cooking appliance includes one or more slidable vent hoods arranged in a tabletop extending above a heating surface of a cooking appliance to exhaust gaseous byproduct developed during a cooking operation performed on the heating surface. The tabletop is vertically adjustable relative to the heating surface in order to alter the distance between each vent hood and the heating surface. Each vent hood can be retracted within the tabletop or extended to a position disposed directly, vertically above at least a portion of the heating surface. Preferably, a pair of adjacent vent hoods are provided, with each vent hood opening into a common exhaust manifold formed in the tabletop. The tabletop is preferably mounted through multiple pillars which are connected to a vertical adjusting mechanism. One of the pillars is preferably provided with an elongated duct for directing exhaust gases from the manifold to a remote exhaust location.

摘要： A refrigerator cabinet includes a shell within which is defined at least one food compartment. For enhancing the access to the food storage compartment, the shell is provided with an open frontal zone which includes a frontal facing portion and a sideward facing portion. A door is hingedly connected adjacent one side of the cabinet, extends across the front of the cabinet and wraps around to an opposing side of the cabinet. In this fashion, a section of the door actually defines an extension of one side of the refrigerator cabinet such that, when the door is opened, enhanced access to within the refrigerator is provided.

摘要： A compound, multiple function, foldable tool having first and second handles, a tool head with pivotable jaw members, and a plurality of additional tools. The tool head are stored within first channels on first sides of the handles, and the additional tools are stored within second channels on second sides of the handles opposite the first sides. Thus, when the tool head is used, the additional tools do not interfere with gripping of the handles during use of the tool head. Moreover, because of the position of the additional tools, these tools are easily accessible while the tool head is in the storage position. The compound tool may also include a ratchet and an adapter and coupler that fit on the ratchet or at least one of the additional tools so that even further tools may be fit on the compound tool. An easy to read full length, straight edge ruler may optionally be provided on the top and bottom surfaces of the handles. Preferably, an individual spring is provided for each tool to prevent further pivoting of the selected tool away from the storage channels once the tool is extended into a working position. A spring lock mechanism may also be provided to prevent the undesired return of an extended tool into the storage position until the lock is released.
