Abstract: A sports apparatus for throwing and catching a projectile, comprising a frame having a handle, catching means arranged on the frame, and throwing means arranged on the frame. The throwing means comprises a gripping component that is arranged to partially surround and releasably grip and retain a projectile therein, and a retained projectile may be released from the throwing means upon acceleration of the frame.
