摘要: A battery cover latching assembly is for use in a portable electronic device. The battery cover latching assembly includes a battery cover (10), a housing (40) and a locking member (20). The battery cover has a hook (122) formed on end thereof and a receiving hole (116) defined adjacent the hook. The housing has a catching portion formed on one end thereof. The locking member has an operating portion (22) and a cylindrical post (24) extending from one side of the operating portion. A latching portion (244) extends radially from the post and adjoins the operating portion. The operating portion is received the receiving hole of the battery cover. The post of the locking member is rotatably engaged with the catching portion of the housing. The latching portion of the locking member is releasably locked with the hook of the battery cover.

The button has a first inclined portion (362). The latching member includes a bolt portion (42) and a positioning portion (44). One end of the bolt portion is received in the locking hole. The positioning portion has a second inclined portion. The button hole is defined in the housing. The positioning portion and the button are received in the button hole, with the second inclined portion being engaged with the first inclined portion.

摘要: A cover restricting mechanism (8) is adapted for use in a foldable electronic device (9). The foldable electronic device includes a cover (10). The cover restricting mechanism includes a projection (31), a housing (20), and a stopping element (32). The projection is provided at one end of the cover. The housing has an inner surface and a corresponding cavity. The stopping element is provided at the inner surface of the housing, and, when the foldable electronic device is in an open position the projection abuts the stopping element. The stopping element is made of an elastomeric material and is configured for slowing the movement of the projection and, thus, the cover once abutment occurs.

The restricting mechanism is provided in the cavity of the housing, and when the cover is rotated to an open position, the follower rotates with the cover, and the restricting mechanism retards/slows the progress of the follower, thereby helping the cover to come more gently to a full, open position.

The cover includes a claw (32) and a button hole (36). The latching section is slidably engaged with the housing. The latching section includes a stand arm (642) and a claw hole (622). The compression spring connects both with the housing and the latching section. The gearing member is mounted to the housing, and comprises a gear (81) and a rack (83) engaged with the gear. The rack defines a locking hole (830) engaging with the stand arm. The button engages with the gear and extends through the button hole.

The portable electronic device has a battery cover and a housing releasably mounted with the battery cover latching assembly. The housing has a cavity. The battery cover latching assembly includes a latching member, a first magnetic member, and a second magnetic member. The latching member is received in the cavity of the housing and is slidable in a first direction. The first magnetic member is mounted to the latching member. The second magnetic member is mounted to the housing. The second magnetic member cooperates with the first magnetic member to create force acting in the first direction to enable the latching member to mount the battery cover to the housing.

摘要: A hinge assembly (100), for joining a flip cover section (110) to a body section (120) of a foldable electronic device (102), includes a shaft (1), at least one pin (2), a spring (3) and a sleeve (4). The shaft includes a body portion (11) and a resisting portion (14). The resisting portion is disposed at one end of the body portion, and the body portion has at least one pin hole therein. Each pin is engaged with a respective pin hole of the shaft. The spring is placed around the resisting portion of the shaft. The sleeve includes a first portion (42) and a second portion (43). The second portion defines at least one sliding slot (44). Each pin protrudes out from a corresponding sliding slot. The hinge assembly is configured to permit a maximum angle (˜160 degrees) between the cover section and the body section.

摘要: A surface contact card latching assembly (100) is located in a portable electronic device (200). The latching assembly includes a receiving portion (11) and a latch portion (12). The receiving portion is configured for receiving a surface contact card (20). The receiving portion includes an aperture (113) formed at a first end thereof via which the surface contact card enters or exits, and a latching containing portion (114) formed at an opposite second end thereof. The latch portion is received in the latching containing portion. The latch portion is operable to move in the latching containing portion so as to drive the surface contact card to move out of the receiving portion through the aperture.
