Therefore, in the present invention, edge emphasis degree of edge emphasis processing for the read image data is varied in accordance with a fact that the original reading system is the fixing original reading or the shifting original reading. Accordingly, the influence by the dirt in the shifting original reading can be reduced.

摘要： Recognition of a position of a printed board is performed both before and after a chip component is mounted on the printed board. When a difference between the positions recognized before and after that is out of a predetermined allowable range, the printed board is treated as a defective. A CPU compares positions of a positioning mark provided on a printed board recognized both before and after a chip component is mounted on the printed board, the positions being taken an image by a board recognition camera and recognized by a recognition processing device. The CPU checks whether or not a difference between the positions is within a predetermined range stored in a RAM, that is, within a range from −0.100 mm to +0.0100 mm, in both X and Y directions. When judging that the difference is within the range, the CPU controls an electronic component mounting apparatus to stop because of an error.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes an image bearing member movable along an endless path, an image forming system for forming a toner image on the image bearing member, and a transfer device for transferring the toner image from the image bearing member to a transfer material at a transfer position. The image forming system includes a charger for charging the image bearing member, and a developer. The transfer device includes a transfer member contactable to a backside of the transfer material. The transfer member is supplied with a voltage having a polarity which is the same as the charging polarity of the toner during a developing operation to transfer the toner from the transfer member to the image bearing member when the transfer material is absent at the transfer position. Also provided is a device for causing a region of the image bearing member to have a potential of the same polarity as the charging polarity of the charger before the region is charged by the charger for image formation.

摘要： An image forming apparatus is used in conjunction with a signal generator for producing an image signal representing an image to be recorded. The apparatus includes a device for forming a visible image with visible material on an image bearing member. The image is represented by the image signal produced by the signal generator. A time signal is also generated by a time signal generator and a measuring circuit measures the time signal so generated as a function of the production off the image signal by the image signal generator. Finally, a warning signal that indicates insufficiency of supply of the visible material for forming an image properly by the image forming device is produced on the basis of measurement of the time signal by the measuring circuit.
