Abstract: An insulating glazing includes at least two substantially parallel glass sheets, which are spaced apart by at least one air- or gas-filled cavity forming a cavity internal to the glazing, a spacer, which is arranged at a periphery of the glass sheets and which keeps the two glass sheets spaced apart, and an adhesive bonding system arranged to fasten the spacer to each glass sheet via two of opposite fastening faces of the spacer, wherein the spacer includes, at least for one side of the glazing, a mirror-function reflective surface on an internal face of the spacer facing the internal cavity of the glazing.

Abstract: A process for obtaining an insulating glazing including first and second glass sheets that are held parallelly spaced apart with a transparent glass spacer adhesively bonded to the periphery of the glass sheets to make a gas-filled interlayer space, includes providing the spacer that is substantially parallelepipedal and including two rough faces opposite one another, and two smooth faces opposite one another, assembling the spacer between the glass sheets so that each rough face of the spacer is positioned close to an edge, and against an inner face of each glass sheet, the interstitial width between the rough faces of the spacer and the inner faces of the glass sheets being less than 0.01 mm, depositing, at the external joint lines between the rough faces and the inner faces, a transparent adhesive, the adhesive moving by capillary action to cover the surface of the rough faces, then curing the adhesive.

Abstract: An insulating glazing includes two glass sheets spaced apart by an air- or gas-filled cavity, at least one spacer arranged at a periphery of the glass sheets and that keeps the glass sheets spaced apart, one of the spacers being transparent, made of transparent plastic and placed on one of the sides of the glazing, and a first leaktight barrier that is leaktight to water, formed by a structural seal, a material of which is watertight, and a second leaktight barrier that is leaktight to gases and to water vapor, the leaktight barriers being made of transparent material, wherein the spacer includes on at least one of its internal and external faces, the internal and external faces being respectively facing and on the opposite side from the gas-filled cavity, a coating which is thin and constitutes the second transparent barrier, the coating and the transparent spacer forming a single assembly.
