Abstract: A method and system for providing enhanced packet data services to user equipment (UE) is disclosed. The method disclosed comprises: switching to a first Radio Access Network (RAN) from a second RAN when the UE suffers loss of coverage in the second RAN during a mobility of the UE, and transmitting a request to the first RAN when the UE detects the coverage in the second RAN to redirect the UE to the second RAN.
