Abstract: An image capturing apparatus and a method capable of capturing images that have undergone Auto Focus (AF), in a mobile terminal are provided. The apparatus includes a camera module, and a controller for determining whether a captured frame has undergone AF if a ‘capture’ entry is selected while performing Continuous Auto Focus (CAF) in a preview mode, and for performing AF on the captured frame if the captured frame has not undergone AF.
