Abstract: Disclosed is a display apparatus including: a display configured to include a screen flexible to have a predetermined curvature; a receiver configured to receive an image signal; a signal processor configured to process the received image signal; and a controller configured to, if the received image signal has an aspect ratio different from a ratio of width to height of the screen, control the display to display a first image based on the image signal on a first area of the screen and a second image having image effects of attributes varied depending on a curvature of a second area on the second area around the first area.
