Abstract: An electronic device includes a display, a display driver including a buffer memory, and a processor configured to, in a partial update driving state of the display, receive a user input for a first execution screen of an application in an Mth frame period, generate data of a partial region corresponding to the user input and store the data in the buffer memory in an (M+1)th frame period, and control the display driver so that the display displays the partial region based on the data and a remaining region other than the partial region in a same manner as the first execution screen in an (M+2)th frame period.
