Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for displaying a three dimensional (3D) image by a mobile terminal. The method includes receiving an object for displaying; identifying attribute information of a content item or application associated with the object; determining a depth of the object based on the attribute information; and displaying the object to reflect the depth.
