Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention provide an electronic device, and a method for managing the life cycle of a plurality of applications executed in the electronic device, the electronic device comprising: a display; at least one processor operably connected to the display; and a memory operably connected to the processor, wherein the memory stores a first application program and a second application program which include user interfaces, and the memory stores instructions for allowing, when executed, the processor to request status information related to the first application program, receive the status information related to the first application program, and display, on the display, a user interface of the second application program including content generated on the basis of at least some the received status information, so that the first application program and the second application program can be linkably operated. Other various embodiments are possible.
