Abstract: A display device is disclosed. The display device includes: a display, a sensor, a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) provided in one region of the display and emitting light in different colors, and at least one processor, comprising processing circuitry. At least one processor, individually and/or collectively, according to an example can identify at least one of color information and brightness information corresponding to the plurality of LEDs, on the basis of RGB grayscale data of a pixel corresponding to a specified region of interest, from an image provided through the display, obtain ambient information, on the basis of sensing data obtained through the sensor, modify the identified information on the basis of the ambient environment information, and control light-emitting states of the plurality of LEDs on the basis of the modified information.

Abstract: A display apparatus includes a display, a plurality of light sources provided to the display, a receiver, and a processor. The processor is configured to, based on an audio signal having a plurality of channels being received from the receiver, obtain a plurality of audio signals corresponding to the plurality of channels from the audio signal, respectively, identify a plurality of colors for the plurality of audio signals, respectively, based on a frequency component of the plurality of audio signals, respectively, among a plurality of frequency components, and control the plurality of light sources to emit light with the plurality of colors, respectively, based on mapping of the plurality of light sources to the plurality of channels.
